That sounds like great research, Dennett! I can imagine that Florida would experience the same issues -- with warm weather all year round there's no brake on the growing period, which makes things go bonkers!

I love looking through all the old digitised newspapers. With the records of council meetings and letters to the editors, it seems as if nothing has changed in the past century and a half!
