I’m Back…With a Book!
Let’s get the party going
The first thing I have to do is catch up on all your stories. It is hard enough when I miss a day, but three weeks! You are a productive lot.
Sorry for my absence. The past three weeks have been full on. House hunting, which had been at the top of my To Do list, was superseded by a big project with a short deadline — a book.
The Inala Nature Tours Guide to Birds of Bruny Island, Tasmania, is a handy pocket guide to 72 of the island’s species, including two of the world’s rarest species — the Forty-spotted Pardalote and the Swift Parrot, and all twelve of Tasmania’s endemics. The book will be launched on 25 March on the opening day of the Bruny Island Bird Festival. All proceeds from sales will go to the Inala Foundation, a charity dedicated to conservation and wildlife rehabilitation.
(The image below is a screenshot, so the resolution isn’t brilliant. The actual cover is crisp and beautiful.)
Sadly, I’m 3500 km away from Adventure Bay, where the launch will be taking place. So I’ll be raising a glass of champagne at home instead.
In the meantime, it’s time to get back to reading your stories on Medium and contributing some of my own. I have a lot of catching up to do.
