Oh, no, I woudn't call it nitpicking at all! Collembolans didn't even occur to me at all, and the smaller millipedes must have done a fair bit of bioturbation before the big ones got started. I'll dig up (absolutely no pun intended) some refs if I can and include an addendum.

Changing lawn to something with more layers is a great idea. I hope it goes well.
